"Sanxiao" has "New Sanxiao"

On the eve of "4.18" this year, reporters from Yangzhou Daily and Xincheng Media Center visited Sanxiao Group to interview the company's development and changes over the past year.

In the evening, workers walked out of the Sanxiao Green Smart Factory one after another, and the sound of machinery was still heard inside. "Our factory is equipped with intelligent robots and automated assembly lines, and with the "smart brain" intelligent management system, even if the workers are off work during the day, a few workers on duty can keep the production line running 24 hours a day, ensuring a production capacity of at least 1.5 million toothbrushes a day." Han Xiaotian, executive chairman of Sanxiao Group, said with a confident smile on his face.

Walking into the factory, the high-ceilinged lobby on the second floor makes you think you are walking into an exhibition hall. Walking along the corridor to the second floor of the factory, you can see the spacious and bright large workshop through the extra-long floor-to-ceiling glass that extends to the other end of the factory. 150 automatic robots are waving their "arms" at the same time to automatically complete the injection molding and glue injection process.

It is the same place. If you came here a year ago, you would see a "waving" mechanical arm, which was an excavator.

On April 12, 2023, as one of the major project start-up activities of the 2023 China Yangzhou "March of Fireworks" International Economic and Trade Tourism Festival, Jiangsu Sanxiao Group's green smart factory project officially started. The total investment of the project is 1 billion yuan, and the planned construction area is 120,000 square meters. It plans to build an intelligent production base mainly for high-end toothbrush manufacturing and supplemented by personal hygiene care products. By introducing intelligent robots, automated assembly lines and other equipment, and cooperating with the software system designed and developed by the enterprise and professional scientific and technological innovation team, all production, storage, handling and testing links do not require manual operation, and ultimately achieve the goal of a "dark factory".

As a long-established leading toothbrush enterprise, the opening of the Sanxiao Green Smart Factory is not only regarded as a pioneering project for the transformation and upgrading of the traditional industries in the Hangji High-tech Zone to the high-end "beauty industry", but also an important innovative attempt to break through the limitations of regional land resources. "Our new factory is renovated and upgraded on the original site of the old factory building," Han Xiaotian introduced.

The renovation of the old factory building is not a simple matter of demolishing and rebuilding. The whole process is tedious and complicated. "During the whole process, we must not only ensure the normal operation of the enterprise, but also terminate the lease of the original factory site and relocate it. Then we need to carry out a series of processes such as project site archaeology, land listing, pile testing, and construction drawing design." Ye Hua, the relevant person in charge of Hangji High-tech Zone, recalled that there were 24 tasks and 17 problems in the list, all of which needed to be solved within three or four months.

To this end, the Eco-Tech New City set up a special working group led by members of the Party Working Committee and composed of the District Economic Development Bureau, Finance Bureau, Planning and Construction Bureau, Taxation and Management Center, Resources and Planning Branch, Planning Center, Planning Institute, Hangji High-tech Zone, and Sanxiao Group to fully promote the implementation of the project. With the joint cooperation of various departments, the "mess" was quickly straightened out, and dozens of tasks were promoted in parallel, which eventually allowed the project to start three months ahead of schedule. The project construction was promoted scientifically and effectively, and it was finally put into production within the year, creating the "New City Speed" of "land acquisition, construction start, and production in the same year".

"For our company, every second can be converted into production capacity. Building a factory in a hurry means we are helping to seize production capacity, market and development," said Han Xiaotian. From occupying more than half of the domestic toothbrush market share, to forming joint ventures with foreign companies to stay in the market, to starting a second business from scratch, the rapid commissioning of the new factory is an important engine for Sanxiao Group to reshape its brand.

In the product display cabinets in the new factory hall, Sanxiao's new independent series of products, headed by the new brand "Kejie Kejing", are dazzling. "Now the unit price of our products has increased a lot, but the orders have not decreased but increased, especially the foreign trade has maintained an annual growth rate of no less than 30%." Han Xiaotian said that the confidence of the products in the market is due to the "new" productivity represented by the new factory. "After the new factory was put into use, we have more room to display our capabilities. With the help of intelligent production and digital management, production is more efficient, the error rate is lower, and the product quality is more reliable and stable, which effectively helps our products upgrade from "general use" to "high quality."

The development of Sanxiao has made more companies confident. At the main venue of this year's "Fireworks in March" Festival, Liangmianzhen, another leading enterprise in Hangji High-tech Zone, signed a new project - Liangmianzhen Chinese Herbal Functional Oral Health Industry Base Project. This project is an advanced manufacturing project with an investment of 1 billion yuan. The project will build a world-leading intelligent oral care product production workshop and engineering technology research center, build a national laboratory, and create a fully automatic intelligent Chinese herbal functional oral care product production base integrating R&D, production and sales, with an estimated annual output value of 2 billion yuan.

"We will continue to make optimizing the business environment our 'No. 1 project', insist on working with enterprises in the same direction, working in the same frequency, and using entrepreneurs' 'expressions' as a 'weather vane' for our work." A relevant person in charge of the Hangji High-tech Zone said that they will deepen and implement the service concept of the project's entire life cycle, comprehensively build a "one-stop" service system for investment projects, better play the role of pre-examination and agency, establish service teams and project secretaries for major projects and key enterprises, and implement a "one-company-one-policy" approach. "We hope that through faster project construction, we can make enterprises 'smile' and the secondary entrepreneurship in the park 'high', and contribute to 'striving to create a national high-tech zone'.
